She agrees to the walk, but cautions him that they will have more privacy if they stay inside and that since she is technically betrothed to him, none would think the less for them speaking together alone.
As they walk through the village, children scamper about following them like dogs might a master and peppering the two of them with questions.
Aurora grins and says, “See what I mean?”
She patiently answers what questions she can and makes up jokes to the others that serve to distract the little ones long enough that they are able to speak once in a while.
“I couldn’t very well tell you anything about the curse that was placed upon me because I was sleeping at the time you kissed me,” she says smiling gently.
She shrugs and says, “It is of no mind. If you wish to break the betrothal while the Witch still lives than I will simply be returned to the pedestal you found me upon.”
She says, “The Witch can appear any way she wishes, so I cannot describe her true form to you. It is said that she lives outside of time and space and enters our world through mirrors and pools of still water.”
